RESUME
I'm LuckyLuck "CEO"
My birth name is, Timothy L. Jackson and this dream of mine started back in the late 90's with a computer, a Yamaha 530 keyboard, and talent I didn't know I had in me. I have always loved music, but back then I was just a fan of all types. Then, one day I took an instrumental of Usher's 97 hit, "You Make Me Wanna", and called myself rapping to it. Little did I know that CD that I recorded with just a little white stick computer mic on my mama's kitchen table would change my life. That CD got out of my hands and was passed from neighborhood to neighborhood, and has never been seen again. Let me remind you that mix tapes weren't being done back then, and I truly believe this was one of the first to be done. As a result, a new me was born and I named him "Lucky". This journey has been long and hard, with some very good times and some bad ones as well. I started Money Making Inc. Figers "MMIF" about 10 years ago. I enrolled at Full Sail University in February 17 and graduated in August 19 with my "Audio Production Bachelor of Science" degree. The purpose of all this was to help those with talent not have to work as hard as I did to get noticed. In addition, it also gives them hope and lets them know there is someone here that knows their pain and has gone down the same road they're walking. Money Making Inc. Figers "MMIF" is here to help and hopefully speed up that process.
Figgah Jay
What it do, brothas and sistas. I am Figgah Jay, member of the MMI Figers Organization. I have been writing since I was sixteen. I decided to get serious with the craft at the age of 25. Rapping has always been a hobby of mine, but I never thought I would get serious about it. Being born and raised in Jackson, MS, I was not in a position or given the opportunity to show off my gift. Even though I did music and projects with other underground local artists, I never found my place. Then I met Luck. Throughout my time of working with him and getting better with each project, I began to realize what we are capable of doing which is giving the people good music that shines light on all aspects of life. Our music expresses and shows that you can do what you want to do, while doing what you need to do. To me that has always been the meaning of Figgahness.
Coast
I was born and raised on the coast of Mississippi, in a small town called Moss Point. I currently live in Ridgeland, MS, and I'm continuing my path to being a star in Mississippi. I began rapping around the age of 13 and I haven't looked back since. Music has always been a passion of mine due to it being a part of my family. I started out being in the band in elementary school and fine tuned my talents as I got older. I've joined a few groups, but it never lasted, which resulted in me leaving. I linked up with my cousin, Slick, and we created Creative Provident Mind Entertainment (CPME). After 7 years of recording at different studios, we linked up with MMIF and now we're making some big moves. I love music but I also do other things, such as foundation work, and landscaping. I take pride in everything I do and that's why my hustle is so strong. My focus and drive is what keeps me pushing to perfect my craft, and I'm learning different things everyday. I look back on life and don't regret anything in my past. I'm happy and blessed in my present, and looking forward to seeing all of the greatness that my future has in store for me.
Kelly "Sunshine"
My name is Kelly, known as Sunshine by most family and close friends. Jackson, MS is my home, and though I've resided elsewhere before, I have found that there is no place I would rather be than in the South. Music is an important part of my life. I've been singing as dancing for as long as I can remember. At 3 years old I shocked my family by performing Betty Wright's "No Pain,No Gain". They were amazed by the powerful vocals that came from such a small body. Throughout my life I've been in numerous talent shows and recorded several tracks as lead vocalist and back-up singer. I put it on hold for a while to focus on other areas of my life, but when I met Lucky he brought the raw talent back out of me. Not only did the Lord give me a musical talent, he blessed me with other gifts as well. I am an educator and I've been working with students for the past 7 years. In my spare time I also mentor and tutor. Last but not least, I was blessed with creative hands. I specialize in braids, dreads, twists, crochets, and other protective styles for children and adults so come see me for your hairstyle needs. Be blessed...
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
